Our Story

Before the conquistadors came to Latin America, this was the way indigenous tribes in Latin America used to drink and celebrate in their ceremonies. In Mexico, this drink is known as Tepache.  In Colombia and other countries in Latin America, it is called chicha. Chicha means fermented drink. Originally, this drink was made by fermenting corn, but the recipe evolved to being fermented with unrefined sugar, ripe pineapple skins, spices and other fruits. Enjoyed as both a cultural heritage and as a thoroughly modern beverage, the chicha legacy continues its journey across celebrations and festive gatherings.
