Andrea has always been passionate about wellness and enjoys a good party. Tired of seeing ready-to-drink cocktails boasting “natural flavors” that were anything but natural, she decided to bring an old practice into the twenty-first century. One night, she recalled how her mom made chicha during hot summers in Cali, Colombia, using a cherished family recipe with real ingredients. Inspired, Andrea learned the recipe and made her first batch, which transported her back to her childhood happiness. Realizing she had something special, she began making various versions in her tiny Manhattan studio kitchen. As demand grew among her friends, she decided to share it with the world. On a soul-searching trip to Oaxaca, she found a small brewery to scale her process, and thus, Chixa Hard Tepache was born. This drink offers real ingredients without sacrificing taste, providing a clean, natural alternative to artificial flavors.
